Beginner Quilting 101A Class

This two-and-a-half hour class series will give you the foundation to master quilting while making a baby quilt using the versatile half-square triangle block. This 5 week class will cover fabric selection, proper measuring and rotary cutting, piecing, creating the quilt sandwich and basting, quilting your quilt on a domestic machine and binding. Finished Baby Quilt will be 40″x48″ $125 for the entire 5 week course.

Day Class Meets on Mondays: March 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th and April 3rd 10am-12:30pm

Evening Class Meets on Thursdays: March 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th and April 6th 6pm-8:30pm

Instructor: Jenni Engleman

Skill Level: Newbie

Requirements: 1 1/4 yd main fabric, 1 1/4 yd coordinating fabric, 3 yards backing fabric, 1/3 yd binding fabric, baby quilt sized batting (at least 45″x53″), rotary cutter, snips, pins, thread, seam ripper, 12×6 or 12.5 x 6.5 plexi ruler, sewing machine.
